Downhill MTB Camp with Romain Paulhan

Join us this summer for a 100% downhill MTB workshop with a guest star at Bike Experience!

From July 15th to 19th, 2024, ride alongside the former French downhill champion, Romain Paulhan. Take advantage of his expertise to push your limits and improve during four intense days of riding in the bike parks of Portes du Soleil.

Romain “Paulhette” Paulhan, an internationally renowned competitor and certified coach, will use all his skills to help you progress. You will benefit from personalized technical advice, real-time corrections, video analysis, and even timed runs to evaluate your racing potential.

Small group for personalized learning

This workshop is limited to a small group of up to six riders, ensuring individual attention and a high-quality experience. You’ll explore the diverse trails of the Portes du Soleil bike parks, one of Europe’s largest biking domains, offering a variety of terrain suitable for all skill levels.

For experienced riders:

  • Being comfortable on at least red trails.
  • Wanting to progress in jumps.
  • Wishing to work on technical sections in steep terrain.

What does the price of 560 € include?

  • Supervision by Romain Paulhan, a certified state-qualified mountain biking instructor, for 4 days: Monday / Tuesday / Thursday / Friday from July 15th to 19th, from 9 am to 5 pm.
  • Lift passes.
  • Hot lunches at one of our partner restaurants (please specify any allergies or dietary requirements)

Which equipment is needed?

To participate in the activity led by Romain Paulhan, a certified state-qualified mountain biking instructor, it is recommended to have the following equipment:

  • Suitable MTB: A well-maintained full-suspension mountain bike suitable for the activity.
  • Full-face helmet: A helmet designed for downhill mountain biking, meeting safety standards.
  • Appropriate attire: Comfortable clothing suitable for mountain biking, including rain gear if necessary.
  • Protection: Participants are required to wear at least a back protector and knee pads.
  • Gloves: MTB gloves are recommended to protect hands and improve grip on the handlebars.
  • Hydration and nutrition: A water bottle or hydration system to stay hydrated throughout the day, along with energy snacks.

It’s advisable to check with the organizer or the instructor for specific recommendations before the activity, particularly to ensure that your equipment meets the anticipated conditions and safety requirements.
